Serving the newly created 340 sq. mi. Bureau Valley School District, this high school will become the focal point for the rural communities of western Bureau County. Located on a highly visible 36.5 acre site, the 103,830 sf building for 450 students features a central commons, 1,800 seat gymnasium, 750 seat performing arts auditorium, and a centralized library resource center serving students, faculty, and community users. The academic wing includes dedicated faculty offices, conference rooms, and support facilities. This allows for flexible classroom utilization with innovative "block-eight" scheduling. State-of-the-art telecommunications cabling will allow audio/visual, computer and all other forms of electronic data to be distributed throughout the building. Number of classrooms: 23 standard classrooms plus 2 computer labs, 2 computer classrooms, 3 science labs/classrooms and 1 distance learning classroom. |
