This 24,000 sf building was built on the campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria adjacent to the existing Medical School complex. Its purpose is to accommodate the clinical function of the Family Practice Residency Program. The building consists of an outpatient teaching clinic on the first floor and administrative and faculty offices with conference rooms and support spaces on the second floor.
The first floor clinical area consists of 32 exam rooms, 3 procedure rooms, lab/radiology area, 3 counseling rooms and billing/transcription area which encompass a central core consisting of a preceptor room, nurse station and records room.
The second floor consists of a hub with a 100 seat conference room and adjacent resident offices, to which there are two attached office wings; one each for the faculty and administration.
The building is linked by fiber optics to the adjacent campuses of the Medical School and Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. |
