Bradley University Student Center

Space and building code inadequacies plagued the Bradley Student Center more than thirty years after its original construction. The center no longer fulfilled its role as the University's gathering place. It clearly needed renovation ‹ based on a design that would reestablish it as the activity hub for the campus. Bradley's major capital campaign in the 1980's made the expansion and renovation a reality.
A spacious Atrium now connects the Center and the adjoining former dormitory. Students stroll through the airy, naturally lit Atrium on their way to and from classes, providing them with a constant reminder of the informal atmosphere awaiting them in the new student lounge. Walls of windows overlook the beautiful campus quadrangle, while smaller, quieter lounges beckon nearby.
The Center's lower level has reclaimed its role as a center for student activities ... with a new 232 seat, sloped floor auditorium that has fixed seating and a dedicated projection room; a game room, video/TV room plus small meeting rooms and offices for various student activities. |
