14,500 sf building for the office of Admissions and Records connected to the campus bookstore. The University wanted to provide a "good first impression: to prospective and enrolled students and their parents. Most spaces are private offices for curriculum counselors plus an impressive lobby and entrance, conference rooms and a small theater with audio/visual capabilities for introductory presentations to parents and students.
Design of the HVAC systems included: extension of the existing campus wide underground steam and condensate heating system, variable air volume reheat boxes served by a single air handling unit with a 40 ton air cooled condensing unit, outdoor air measuring systems for maintaining ventilation rates, and full direct digital temperature controls. |
