Addition to existing middle school. The 11,300 sf project includes a 6,100 sf gymnasium with spectator seating for 350 people, and locker and shower facilities for physical education programs. The existing library was expanded and remodeled to 1,600 sf with an office, workroom, and reference room. As part of the project, exit stairs were incorporated to correct life safety deficiencies in the existing building. The new addition is equipped with public restrooms to permit off-hour use of the gymnasium while the remainder of the school facility is closed. Construction cost, $900,000. |
