Tri-County Women's Strength Shelter

The Tri-County WomenStrength Shelter provides living and counseling facilities for women and children who are suffering from domestic violence and sexual assault. The facility is designed to functionally house a constantly changing clientle and also provide an environment that is residential, familiar and comforting. Security is an integral feature of the design of the Shelter, allowing for controlled access into designated areas. In order to efficiently and effectively provide housing and counseling, the WomenStrength Shelter contains the following areas:
6 bedrooms- each sleeping a family of 4-5
1 bedroom that sleeps a family of 6-8
Bathrooms located between pairs of bedrooms
Living/family areas that provide privacy for small groups and flexibility for large groups
Children's playroom for supervised and structured play activities
Laundry room
Multi-purpose room
Security outside play area for children
Counseling Services- outreach counselor, in- shelter counselor, children's counselor, jobs counselor, elderly-abuse counselor
General Storage- Furniture, clothing, food, office supplies, etc. |
