Established in 1932 by J. Fletcher Lankton, the firm has operated continuously since that time. John N. Ziegele became a partner in 1939, and James L. Terry became a partner in 1956. In 1969 the firm was incorporated with John N. Ziegele, James L. Terry, John W. Crawford, H. Herman Thun, Jr., Carl R. Wagner, and J. Robert Dageforde as principals. Val. E. Fuger became a principal in 1972. By 1977, the last of the original partners were gone with the death of J. Fletcher Lankton in 1971, the retirement of Mr. Terry in 1976, and the death of Mr. Ziegele in 1977. Elected to succeed Ziegele as president was John W. Crawford who also continued in his capacity as treasurer. In 1984, due to changing times, Lankton-Ziegele-Terry & Associates, Inc. modernized their corporate identity and became LZT Associates, Inc. On May 14, 2001 LZT Associates, Inc. joined the Larson & Darby Group upon Mr. Crawford's retirement.
