Colonial CaféRestaurant RenovationST. CHARLES, ILLINOISWe created new and updated spaces for Colonial Café and Ice Cream stores in St. Charles and throughout Chicagoland. Colonial Café enjoys a long and loyal customer relationship. Our challenge: Create a fresh identity without veering too far from the familiar. This 5,000 SF space features glass, stainless steel, rich colors, and their signature ice cream fountain island – along with a modern twist on the famous Colonial Cow.

Castle BankNew Branch BankYORKVILLE, ILLINOISThis 21,375 SF bank is the seventh branch project we've designed for Castle Bank, NA. This project was constructed in the original Castle Bank parking lot, while ongoing banking operations proceeded without interruption. The project features a two-story barrel vaulted main lobby that's overlooked by second floor offices. Our other Castle Bank projects are in Oswego, Harvard, DeKalb, Elburn, Plano, and Sycamore.

Glo-Bowl Entertainment CenterNew Entertainment Center & RestaurantMARENGO, ILLINOISWe designed this new, 26,000 SF bowling and entertainment center. The project features 12 lanes for adult league bowling; four lanes for premier bowling; restaurant and dining room with full kitchen; snack bar/café; gaming room with video and table games; bar/lounge with pool tables and a stage for live music; plus meeting/banquet rooms and an outdoor dining patio.

Woodman's Food MarketsNew Grocery Stores & RenovationsMULTIPLE ILLINOIS & WISCONSIN LOCATIONSSince 1999, we've served as the A/E firm of record for Woodman's, developing new prototype grocery stores and remodeling existing stores in Illinois and Wisconsin. Recent projects include new stores in Menomonee Falls and Oak Creek, Wis.; and Rockford, Carpentersville and North Aurora, Illinois; plus additions and/or remodeling for stores in Appleton, Madison, Onalaska, Beloit and Janesville, Wis. We also designed a corporate office building in Janesville and a 220-car parking deck in Madison.

Gateway MallNew Retail Center & OutlotsMACHESNEY PARK, ILLINOISWe worked with a local developer to design and build this 77,350 SF retail center. The project scope included designing shell space for the in-line mall and two additional retail outlot buildings for Panera Bread, U.S. Cellular, Quizno’s, and Radio Shack. We also prepared construction documents for the project and designed new floor plan configurations of tenant buildouts for Office Depot, Pier 1 Imports, and PetSmart.

Peak FitnessNew Fitness & Aquatics CenterLOVES PARK, ILLINOISOur 2nd project for Peak commissioned us to design one of northern Illinois’ largest fitness centers on an 18 acre site. The 80,000+ SF club offers a two-story family fitness area with game room and lounge; an 8,000+ SF gym with two-story climbing wall; spa; salon; and a 12,000+ SF indoor aquatics area with lap pool, plunge pool and waterslide. In Phase 2, we designed an outdoor aquatics area with similar amenities.

Floriole Bakery & CafeInterior RenovationCHICAGO, ILLINOISWe created a total renovation and redesign of this 4,000 SF, two-story brick building in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. This former residential home-office was transformed into a commercial bakery with retail counter and a charming two-level café. To open up the space, the front half of the second floor was removed and replaced with a wood-wrapped structural grid. A large raised clerestory was added along with oversized glass entrance doors to improve daylighting.

GAP INC.New Retail Stores & RenovationsNATIONWIDEWe have provided architectural services to GAP Inc. for a variety of retail locations nationwide. We have provided services for over 40 projects in 14 states for GAP, Inc.; including Old Navy stores (15,000 SF), Banana Republic stores (6,000 SF), Gap Outlet stores (10,000 SF) and Banana Republic Factory Stores (6,000 SF). We have provided services for both new stores and the renovation of existing stores.

Office MaxNew Retail StoresNATIONWIDEWe are approved by OfficeMax to provide architectural and engineering services for their facilities nationwide, including Puerto Rico. Each is approximately 19,000 square feet. We've completed more than 25 new stores and also have surveyed and produced remodel drawings for 34 existing locations. In addition to the main OfficeMax brand stores, we helped develop their small-store format under the brand name of “Ink Paper Scissors,” and also developed their “In Post Office Concept.”

Schnuck’s / Logli SupermarketNew Grocery Store & RenovationsROCKFORD, ILLINOISWe provided complete A/E design services for this new, 165,000 SF grocery store on a 17-acre site. At the time it was built, this was the largest grocery store in Illinois. The project included roughly 8,000 square feet of refrigeration and 3,500 square feet of freezer space. We have also completed renovation projects for two other Scnuck's/Logli locations.
